White Oak Elementary Media Center

This is my first year as the Media Specialist at White Oak Elementary, but definately not my first year in education.  It is hard to believe that I have been a teacher for 22 years!  I started my career teaching fifth grade in South Carolina in 1992.  It seems like just yesterday.

 

I have taught third through sixth grade, and most recently, I was the Media Specialist at Lanier Middle School.  I love working with children, and nothing brings me more joy than to see a look of understanding bloom on a child's face.

 

I have one daughter, who is in third grade this year at White Oak, a dog, and a cat.  I love to read, hike, and travel.  I also love to garden and explore old book stores.

 

I am thrilled to work with White Oak students and their parents, and I look forward to seeing all of you this year and hearing about all the good books you are reading and the amazing topics you are studying.
